SCHURTER expands its T9 fuse holder style thermal circuit breaker series, including vertical PCB installation models. The vertical installation model makes existing products more complete, including horizontal PCB installation styles, as well as three different panel installation styles with quick connect terminals: snap in or nut fixed, and back installation styles with threaded columns. The complete series can replace equivalent enclosed fuse holders in terms of appearance and shape.
Installing circuit breakers on T9-817 PCB can reduce assembly costs and save board space by eliminating assembly hardware and wires. Adopting a slim design and a small push reset cylindrical button, it will only protrude slightly through the panel opening. When the component trips, the spring will push the button outward again.
Fuses are known to age due to pulse or high surge currents, leading to premature tripping. Therefore, circuit breakers are highly suitable as a replacement for fuses. Circuit breakers do not require replacement of fuses, thus preventing unnecessary downtime and the associated risks of accidentally inserting fuses with incorrect current ratings. The goal of the T9 series thermal circuit breaker is to serve as a replacement for 5 mm x 20 mm or 6.3 mm x 32 mm fuses, with enclosed fuse holders.
Typical applications of circuit breakers include power supplies, UPS systems, PDUs, power tools, motor drive applications, medical diagnostic equipment, commercial kitchen appliances, lighting fixtures, HVAC products, and equipment for sports and leisure activities. The T9 series can also be applied for products tested with GWT materials, suitable for unmanned household appliances. The T9 product series complies with UL 1077, CSA C22.2 235, and IEC 60934 standards. This component has been certified by cURus, VDE, and CCC.
