Three Chinese astronauts safely returned yesterday!
The China National Space Administration announced on September 16, 2021 that three Chinese astronauts will return to Earth on September 17 aboard the Shenzhou-12 manned spacecraft. As of now, the spacecraft has successfully detached from the Chinese space station.
Three Chinese astronauts are about to return!
Before entering the spacecraft, the three crew members of Shenzhou-12 completed all pre separation work with the assistance of the ground team, including space station module setup, experimental data transmission, inventory and cleaning of in orbit materials, etc.At the same time, in order to readjust to the Earth's environment after landing, the three astronauts strengthened their physical exercise in the first two weeks, exercising their muscles, bones, and cardiovascular function.
Hero Triumph
Three Chinese astronauts worked and lived on the space station for 90 days as planned, setting a new record for the duration of a single stay in orbit by a Chinese astronaut
The spacecraft is expected to land at the Dongfeng landing site in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northern China. The search and rescue team has conducted multiple drills at the landing site to ensure the timely return of three space heroes.
Compared to the Dongfeng landing site, we may be more familiar with the Siziwang Banner landing site, where Yang Liwei, the first Chinese to enter space, landed upon his return. Why did we choose the Dongfeng landing site this time? The reason behind this is that the astronauts returned from the space station, making it more difficult for land-based personnel to accurately calculate the landing site. Therefore, choosing to land in the desert is safer.
Wishing the three astronauts a safe return home!
