Allegro current sensor - Vicway - resolution 0.5%
Allegro's current sensors provide high precision throughout the entire operating range without the need for user programming
Allegro Microsystems' acs712 high-precision current sensor image Allegro's acs712 is a highly accurate 400 kHz fully integrated Hall effect current sensor, which is very suitable for control circuits in the most demanding power conversion applications. Current flows through the internal conductor and couples the generated magnetic field to the Hall sensor IC. Due to the lack of physical connection between current and IC, high-voltage isolation can be achieved. The current is generated by subtracting the external common mode magnetic field from two Hall plates. The sensor has been adjusted at the factory and can provide high precision throughout the entire working range without the need for user programming.
This sensor has analog output and reference output, which can achieve signal integrity in complex environments. It includes fast overcurrent fault output and threshold values that users can configure through analog input pins to provide short circuit detection and enhanced system protection. The sensor also has four user selectable gain options and two logic inputs in the same device, without any other components. This provides flexibility for designers and minimizes the total material list for systems that require different current sensing ranges.
