The Red Arrow 12 made its debut at a weapons and equipment exhibition in France in 2014 and at the Zhuhai Air Show in 2016.

The missile length of the "Hongqi-12" is about 1 meter, with a diameter between 130 millimeters and 150 millimeters. The launch tube, missile, and sighting equipment weigh about 22 kilograms, and the entire system is about 1.25 meters long, carrying more than 40 pounds on the shoulder. No wonder the soldiers are struggling.

The most important innovative technology of this missile is the new self guidance head. This is the first time that China's anti tank missile has been equipped with a guidance system that can ensure "no matter what after launch" in practice. Therefore, an infrared self guidance head with target image memory (infrared imaging) function is used.

It is reported that the "Red Arrow-12" can not only attack main battle tanks, but also target low flying helicopters, small ships, bunkers, and other targets. Can accurately hit targets within a range of 2000 meters under all-weather conditions. If the TV guidance head is replaced, the range of the missile can be extended to 4000 meters.
